Founder’s letter
“I started Nouri Bay in memory of my late mum, whose natural approach to caring for my sensitive skin as a child became the inspiration behind everything we create today.”
Growing up, I remember my mum using freshly cut aloe vera, watermelon rind and other natural Caribbean skincare traditions to soothe my sensitive skin. Looking back, I realise those moments were not just about the ingredients — they were also about the feelings in those precious moments of love, care and dedication.
Years later, I found myself struggling to find products that didn’t irritate my sensitive skin and that I enjoyed using. Most products created for sensitive skin often felt clinical, heavy and uninspiring, while luxury formulas designed for “all skin types” often contained fragrance or essential oils that left my skin feeling irritated.
It wasn’t until 2025, after unexpectedly losing my mum to bowel cancer, I found myself reflecting back on those early memories of how she cared for my sensitive skin. It was at this point that my grief reached a turning point. I decided that I wanted to build something meaningful in memory of my mum; inspired by the care and attention she had for my sensitive skin. And that’s why I launched Nouri Bay, to build on her legacy of care, comfort and restoring confidence in sensitive skin.
